From May 4 to 25, 2011 the «Fernand Toupin – retrospective exhibition from 1952 to 2001» will take place at our Old Montreal gallery. Together with Louis Belzile, Jean-Paul Jérôme and Jauran, Fernand Toupin founded the Plasticiens’ Manifesto in 1955.
From May 4 to 25, 2011 the «Fernand Toupin – retrospective exhibition from 1952 to 2001» will take place at our Old Montreal gallery. Together with Louis Belzile, Jean-Paul Jérôme and Jauran, Fernand Toupin founded the Plasticiens’ Manifesto in 1955. The retrospective exhibition presents all the periods of the artist from the beginning of the Plasticien movement, through matter, to the return of plasticiengeometry in 2001. Assembling fifty (50) paintings, the realization of this huge exhibition implies the collaboration of Musée d’art de Joliette, Musée du Bas-Saint-Laurent (Rivière-du-Loup) and private collectors. Just a few works will be for sale.
